Gummy Bears

Want a gummy snack that is good for you? This is it! Especially if you use a good quality, no added sugar juice. Feel free to eat these until your heart is desired!

This recipe can be any flavor you want depending on the juice you choose. Some of our favorites have been pomegranate, cherry lime, watermelon, and strawberry but that’s a little bit more complicated.

Citrus juices work but they are a little more complicated.

This treat is one you can feel good about:

  • Real gelatin is great for gut health and strengthen joints, hair, skin and nails.

  • No added refined sugar and only a small amount of honey.

Note - These can be stored on the counter in an air tight container for a few days but will last about a week in the fridge. If you keep them in the fridge, they will be hard when they first come out but will soften as they come to room temperature.

I hope you enjoy these gummy bears as much as we do!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup juice of choice
  • ¼ cup gelatin (I use Vital Proteins)
  • 2 Tbsp honey
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice

Instructions:

  1. Pour the juice in a small saucepan and sprinkle gelatin on top to let it bloom (absorb) for 5 -10 minutes.
  2. Turn the saucepan on medium low heat to melt the juice and gelatin.
  3. Stir until well mixed.
  4. Turn off heat. Add honey and lemon juice to the gelatin mixture. Stir until well combined.
  5. Pour liquid into molds and place in the refrigerator for at least 30 min to solidify.
  6. Pop the gummy bears out of the mold and Enjoy!

Notes:

These can be stored at room temperature for a few days and will last a week in the fridge. If kept in the fridge, they will be harder when they first come out but will soften as they come to room temperature.
